Vision Boarding 101

In the previous blog post, we explored manifestation and how it can help you reach your goals for the new year. For success with manifestation, you have to set your intention, believe it will become a reality and then take active steps towards making your dreams a reality.

A vision board is a great tool to have during your journey. Simply put, a vision board is a visual representation of your goals. It’s usually a poster sized image with texts and images representing something you’re trying to achieve. Putting your goals on paper in this type of visual format can help you achieve your goals. Many celebrities like Oprah, use vision boards to map out their goals (and it worked for them).

How to create a vision board:

Step 1: Map out your goals

Write down your goals in list format with subcategories such as finance and career, travel, home, personal growth, health and relationships.

Here’s an example of the list:

Step 2: Focus on the visuals

Now its time to haunt for your visual representations (photos). If you’re old school and would like a tangible vision board, here’s where you get out those magazines. If you’d prefer a digital version, head over to Pinterest and download the images that align with your goals.

Step 3: Compile

Now that you’ve downloaded or collected all your images, its time to compile it. Place your pictures however you see fit. You can use Canva to create it.

Step 4: Decide where to put it

Once you’re vision board is completed, the next step is to put it somewhere you can see it. If you’ve opted for the digital version, putting it as your screensaver is a good option as you’ll be reminded of your goals daily.

And just like it, you’ve created your vision board. Goodluck! I hope you smash all your goals.
