1. Minimize negative self-talk
Most of us practice negative self-talk probably more than we realize but it is a really bad habit. Pay attention to when you are beating yourself up and try stop it. Interrupt those negative thoughts with kind words, practice self-compassion.

2. Interrupt repetitive thoughts
Constantly replaying a situation in your mind and trying to think of how you could’ve handled it differently is exhausting and anxiety-inducing. Get out of your head and try to be present. Experts say meditating is also a good way to get out of your head.
3. Say no more often
I can not stress this one enough, constantly saying yes when you actually should’ve said no is not going to do you any good. Trying to please everyone will result in burnout and possibly resentment. Be intentional with your time and set health boundaries.
4. Honor your needs
Check in with yourself as often as possible. It is so easy to get lost in the moment or direct so much attention to that “deadline” and in the process we forget to ask ourselves what we need.
5. Get active
Exercising, taking walks, and doing anything physical really can boost your mood and take your mind of the thing/s that are stressing you.
6. Ask for help
Personally, when life feels overwhelming my go-to habit is isolation, but this is often problematic. We aren’t meant to be alone all the time and suffer alone. It is important to reach out for support from loved ones.
